BCCI official visits kochi stadium

Kochi: BCCI Security Adviser R K Das on Thursday visited Jawaharlal Nehru stadium here, the venue of the April 9 IPL match between Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Royal Challengers Bangalore and held discussions with police and Kerala Cricket Association regarding security measures.

Das, the Kerala team co-owners and KCA officials also met Deputy Commissioner K Valsan and held discussions regarding security measures to be taken during the five IPL matches to be held here.

Police sources told reporters that at least 2000 personnel would be deployed during the matches. But since the April 13 assembly elections would be hardly four days later, police officials have suggested shifting the first match after the assembly polls.
